Our final week of camp was full of mixed emotions. We had a great time but we were sad to say goodbye at the end of the week. Check out all the fun we had!

Week 2 - 2011
Week 2 was a smashing success!! The last two days had to be indoors because of the extreme heat, but even that time was filled with games, crafts, songs, activities and even a talent show!
Super Hero Day was a hit!
Everything was nice and cool down by the creek.
We made sure there was lots of water to drink.
The counselors had just as much fun on the water slides as the kids did!

EXCITING NEWS!!!
We have an exciting announcement! Over the last 3 summers, GADC has been saving money for a facilites improvement. We have finally reached our goal and this week the first phase of OUR NEW PLAYGROUND is being delivered!
We will be installing the new playground this Saturday, June 11th at 8 am. We need adult help with this construction. If you are available, please let us know!
Scholarship Fund Update
We are still in the process of fundraising for camp scholarships. For the 2011 season we have given over $6,000 in scholarships to more than 20 kids that would not otherwise been able to attend GADC.
Please join us at Three Brothers in Columbia on Snowden River Parkway on Thursday, June 16th, form 5:00 to 9:00 pm. Three Brothers will donate a portion of each meal to our scholarship fund. Make sure to tell the cashier that you are participating in the fundraiser.
To donate directly to our scholarship fund, click this link. All donations are tax deductible and greatly appreciated!

Scholarship Fund Update and Fundraiser
Each year we give scholarships to families in need. This year, GADC has already given $3800 in scholarships.
There are 2 ways you can help our needs:
1. We host restaurant fundraisers throughout the year to help with the scholarship needs. Join us at one. The next one is tomorrow, Tuesday, May 24th from 5 pm to 8pm at the Johns Hopkins Rd Chick Fil A.
2. GADC also accepts scholarship donations. If interested in donating to our scholarship fund, follow this link and click the Donate link at the bottom of the page.
So far this year, we have raised around $800. We are greatful for all the support. Hopefully we will see you at Chick Fil A!!!

Summer 2011 Registration starts January 23rd! Our online form is mostly ready although there are a few changes that need to be made. Feel free to use the online form but please note:
1. if you are registering for Taste of Camp, only 2 weeks are listed and we are offering it all 5 weeks
2. The specialties are different than what is listed. We will email you to verify what you want.
We will also be taking paper registrations.
The online form should be updated and ready by the end of the week.
