Preparing for Summer 2011

The windchill factor today is 27 degrees.  That's COLD!!

We've been keeping warm on this bitter December day all bundled up with our computers on our laps thinking about the warm days to come.  We are excited about all our camp preparations and are eager to share them with you.

  • Registration begins on January 23, 2011
  •  Camp will run for five weeks beginning on July 11th and ending on August 12th.
  • The theme for Summer 2011 is Gear Up!  Our five weeks of camp will center on gearing up and getting prepared to be healthy on the inside and out.
  • Two new specialty camps are in the works: Media and Jewelry Making.  Campers in Media will update this blog, take pictures, interview campers and counselors, and publish a newsletter.  Campers in Jewelry Making will... make jewelry!
  • Taste of Camp is returning for a full five weeks!  Campers ages 4 through completed first grade will be able to register for full day camp OR half day Taste of Camp.  The new Taste of Camp hours will be 9:00AM - 12:40PM.
  • We decided that "Junior Camp" and "Day Camp" sound a little too boring so our camps are getting new names!!  Junior Campers will now be called Pioneers and Day Campers will now be called Explorers.
  • There are some changes on the horizon for SIT and Servant Team.  In an effort to raise the bar for our middle and high school students, interviews will be required for all interested campers.  Interviews will be held monthly beginning in February.  SIT and Servant Team campers will also fill out an application and sign behavior contracts.
As always, please feel free to contact us with any questions, comments or concerns.

New and returning campers had a WONDERFUL week!

There are a couple of spots left in all camps for weeks 3-5 (July 26-Aug 13). Click here to get your registrations in now and secure your spot!
